Winemaker Ian Little spent years of his childhood in Argentina and has returned many times to explore the wine regions and culture of what is a vast and fascinating country. Llamas is a fun project showcasing Malbec, the signature variety of Argentina.
Originally an experimental field blend this is now a regular in the Little Wine Co stable. Grown side by side the Shiraz and Tempranillo were co-harvested and co-fermented. Vibrant dark berry fruit and a smooth palate make this a delicious, easy-drinking style.
It took an amazing vintage to produce the first ever Little Gem Tempranillo. In 2018 the warm, dry conditions producing berries with intense ripe flavours. Voluptuous layers of fruit and oak make this an intense, delicious wine.
2017 was such an incredible vintage that winemakers Ian & Suzanne Little decided to make a super-premium small batch from the very best fruit. Sumptuous and simply delicious.
Matured for 7 years in older French oak, this Tawny has a deep ruby colour and complex aromas of cinnamon, raisins with a luscious, lingering finish. 500mL bottle.
